Arugula sketches

My neighbor was pulling up a bunch of her arugula plants from her garden and I asked if she would mind if I stole one to sketch.

All those branches are off of just one plant, and I think they look so pretty sitting on my kitchen counter in a vase. I love how the branches are all bendy and twisty, like they couldn’t figure out which direction they wanted to grow in.

Hey, you guys know I’m exhibiting at Stumptown Comics next weekend (April 28-29) and will be speaking on two different panels (Dark Horse Originals: Genius Redefining Genre and Online Self-Promotion), right?
