Lady Eboshi from Princess Mononoke, in ink and watercolor by Dylan Meconis. Ambitious ladies with weapons: they’re the best! (You can see more of Dylan’s weakness for the subject matter in her webcomic, Family Man.)
A gorgeous piece by my favorite lady, best friend and table-neighbor at Periscope. Lookit those colors! That pose! The attitude! So hawt.

Charity Auction Tentacle Watercolor Painting.
My contribution to An Artist A Day, which is an annual month-long event held by Muse Art and Design to raise funds for Portland’s schools to buy art supplies.
From 12-5pm today I painted this at Muse while passers-by could watch from their front window.
Bidding on all the participants’ pieces will be open until May 13th. This tentacle painting should be added to the collection sometime tonight or tomorrow morning.
Messing around with watercolors last night.
